While educating the next generation is important, we must not forget about our senior citizens either! For the last three summers, we have partnered with SAIVA and the AARC to teach elders how to use computers, mobile smartphones and tablets in a ten week program. After completion of the program, seniors were able to successfully send emails, place calls, text message, use facebook, find news, write word documents and create powerpoints, facetime their kids and grandkids, access online banking, and do basic web surfing.
Location & Dates
We meet every Wednesday and Thursday at the AARC (8401 Cameron Rd, Austin, TX 78754) from 10 AM to 12 AM in several of the conference rooms until August 31st. Please ask the front desk for directions to the conference rooms.Registration & Transportation
For the Wednesday sessions, please contact SAIVA with your intent to join the program and your address to be picked up and dropped off to the AARC. For the Thursday sessions, please contact the AARC with the same information. Rides back are included as well.
